Trimming a cat’s nails can be a lifelong challenge for many cat owners. It’s difficult, often stressful, and sometimes even painful for both cats and humans.
That’s why we asked ourselves: what if cats could file their nails naturally through their daily scratching habits?
After numerous tests and iterations, we developed an innovative scratching board that gently files nails while cats do what they love — scratch.
bibi Nyan helps reduce the stress and struggle of nail clipping, supporting a more comfortable and trusting relationship between cats and their owners.
Depending on how frequently your cat uses the board, their nail tips will naturally wear down in about a week. When you notice a gentle trimming effect (similar to a light clip), we recommend switching to the non-abrasive side to prevent over-filing.
The abrasive surface of bibi Nyan is located within the slits between layers of corrugated cardboard. As your cat scratches, their nail tips gently come into contact with the embedded file and gradually wear down.
A soft cushion beneath the abrasive area flexes to fit the shape of your cat’s nails, ensuring a smooth, safe, and comfortable grooming experience.
bibi Nyan uses laminated paper board made from recycled materials. The glue is based on natural cornstarch. For the filing surface, we use garnet, a mineral that is free from harmful silica and heavy metals.
The cushion layer is made with non-toxic foam polyethylene, ensuring safety for cats and other pets.
We tested the product with over a dozen cats during development. The results confirmed its safety and gentle performance. Especially among cats who already enjoy scratching cardboard, the pad was well received. Over time, a clear filing effect on their nails was observed through everyday use.
